The motorhome site ‘Am Schönebach’ is located in the Lake Bodensee & Allgäu region and is specially designed for motorhomes. Our site is located on the outskirts of Eisenberg on the edge of a small industrial estate, with good connections to public transport such as bus and train (approx. 5 minutes’ walk) and to the very well-developed cycle path network in the Ostallgäu.

There are also several restaurants with excellent cuisine and beer gardens nearby. A traditional brewery can also be reached on foot in approx. 15 minutes. A bakery (approx. 15 min. walk) and a supermarket (approx. 5 min. walk) are in the immediate vicinity. There is also the opportunity to sample and purchase fresh Allgäu cheese from the loaf at the local dairy co-operative. There are numerous activities in the surrounding area, including visits to castles and fortresses, as well as signposted hiking and cycling trails.

The motto of our district was deliberately chosen: ‘Where castles grow on the mountains’. A short hike (approx. 1 hour) takes you back in time to the ruins of Freyberg and Eisenberg and rewards you with a marvellous view. The path leads past a cosy mountain hut with good food and beautiful views, where you can fortify yourself again.

The surface of the motorhome pitch consists of gravel and is mostly flat. Facilities include free Wi-Fi, video surveillance, permission for dogs, barbecue facilities (gas, charcoal, electric), barrier-free access and floodlit pitches.

The supply and disposal facilities include free water, disposal of grey water and cassette toilets, as well as electricity. The campsite is open from the end of March to the beginning of November and offers 14 pitches.
